2008 Men's Relay race (What were you doing/reaction?)

Wow, last night was great! I was so excited about last night's men's relay race. I was screaming at the t.v. for them to swim faster and when they touched the wall, my right arm went in the air, hand balled and yelling "Yah!!!!" Did anyone have the same sentiments? What were you doing and your reaction?|||I was watching and saying to myself, "damn we just lost" and I kind of looked away for awhile. but then Lezak totally came back and when I saw that bar go across the lane saying "United States" I jumped up and down screaming for ever. I even got goosebumps!


I almost never jump for joy, but this race was incredible. And it just made it so great knowing how much we crushed France's ego. Those remarks definitely made our guys win!





I loved Garrett Weber-Gale and Michael Phelps at the end. They're my two fav. swimmers, and it was great to see their reactions.





This race was definitely the best I have EVER seen in my life!!!!





You get a star for reminding me of the happiest moment of TV in my life =)|||I totally loved the USA 4x100 Freestyle Relay swim team yesterday.


The French team said, "The Americans? We are going to smash them. That's what we came here for." and by the last quarter, the French were in the lead by four full strokes, with USA right behind them.


Then, five feet to the end, the American dude catches up evenly to the French guy, and pushes up to the wall first. GOLD!!!


The looks on the French faces was priceless. And Michael Phelps and team USA were ballistic! I don't know why I was rooting so hard for them. Maybe competition results in greater patriotism.|||That was amazing! I was close to crying in the 3rd exchange, when the french were a body length ahead of everyone, But the ending was amazing! I did the same thing, scream "Yah!". I was speechless.





Michael did make a good cheerleader, it took him a second there to figure out they won though, haha.|||I was sitting on the floor in my living room playing PS2, and flipping back n forth between the Olympics and gaming. I knew we had a 400M relay that night, and I knew what the Frenchies had said leading up to the event..."we are going to smash ZE Americans, that is what ZE came here to do!". No wonder Germany knocked 'em out in less than a week in WW2....trash talking should only be done by those that can back it up. Imagine if Misty May and Kerri Walsh said the same thing every time they go out and destroy some poor team from Japan, or China, or Britain...they'd be hated not adored like they are. OH! I also screamed F YES! really loud and it was late at night...my neighbors hate me!|||I was sitting upstairs watching it with my parents and brothers. I was kind of freaking out at the last turn because I didn't think Lezak was going to catch him but then he inched up on him a bit and then all of the sudden he was next to Bernard. And then after that when it said they got first I jumped and said YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! That was the best race I've ever seen!|||Just like the French... THEY LOST AGAIN.





They need to keep their piehole shut and just swim.
