Was there an instant when Marie was going exactly 10 meters per second? If so, when was that instant?|||Is this calculus?
If so, the derivative of a distance equation will be a rate of change, or distance per second, or velocity equation.
M'(t) = 0.2t +3, since there is a t component, that means her velocity is dependent on time, so she is accelerating thru out the run. This is actually unlikely in a real race, but we will assume it is true here.
So if she is going 10 m/s, you would have
10 = 0.2t + 3
0.2t = 10 - 3 = 7
t = 7/0.2 = 35
At 35 seconds, she is going 10 m/s|||You did not say what t represents in M(t). Yes it is the first letter in the word "time" but time for what.
The rate at which Maria was running is found by computing dM(t)/dt = 0.2t + 3. This implies that Maria was increasing her speed during the race. She started her leg of the race at t = 0 going 3 m/sec and got faster as time increased.
For this rate to be 10 m/sec, t must be the solution for 0.2t + 3 = 10.
Which is t = 7/0.2 = 35.
How long did it take Maria to complete her leg of the race? If it took at least 35 seconds, then at that point she was running at 10 m/sec

Nude relay races.?
What is your opinion of nude relay races?
Mixed men and women.
I would like to be a spectator, or even a judge.
The events would have to be desided. Like how to carry the wand and pass it. I mean the emagination could run wild here among other things. One day it could even be an olympic sport..

Did anyone else have to play this game at their freshman orientation where 2 people hug until a balloon pops?
So I just had my freshman orientation from high school a few days back, and we had to play this relay race with boys vs girls where each person from one team has to hug this person with a balloon between them until a balloon pops. I talked with some friends from other schools, and they said that they also played this game? Did anyone else have to play it too?|||I never played it, but it sounds cool|||i have mine today,but the kids from last year said we had to play that, and another game like a guy sits down and puts a balloon on his lap then a girl has to come up and sit till it pops,

Relay Races?
What are some fun relay races for kids at the pool?
Obviously a free and medley. And TN tumbler and corkscrew. But what else? Maybe outside of the pool? I was thinking frog jumps, spin 10 times then walk in a straight line, etc.|||I coached 13 and unders for a few years and they loved relay races, so the things you have are great, a few more ideas could include an inner tube:
Have one kid in the tube swim to one end, then the next swimmer will push (or pull) the kid in the tube, then the next swimmer will help push, then the next will help the first two and so on, (it's an add on, promoting team work and strategy) and do this for as many kids as you have and the team who gets everyone to the finish first wins!
Another relay is swimming with the inner tube and exchange it with each swimmer
Add on chain: one swimmer (A) swims to the end of the pool, the next swimmer (B) will pull (A), Then swimmer (C) will pull A and B, then D will Pull A,B, and C and so on and so forth

What are some good names for a female relay team?
My good friend and I are running an adventure race together (run ,canoe, bike) and we need a funny name. We are both adventure athletes and former high school basketball teammates. The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey is a 24 hour relay race around Reno Tahoe. My high school cross country team has put together a team and we need a clever name! We're all girls! We want something catchy and motivational that possibly inclueds the fact that we're all girls but we're better than the rest.|||The Godesses. Dominating Divas. Wicked Witches. Running Rebels.
