Is there an "outside the box" ways for an adult to race in a tricycle race?

My husband has to race on tricycles at work on a 5 man relay group against 5 other teams. Two of the wheels have to be on the ground and he has to be touching the bike somewhere on his body while racing. Any out of the box ideas?
