What sorts of games do Japanese school students play during recess besides relay races?

Dodgeball.... and they're pretty good at it too!|||?|||Google.com|||Japanese elementary schools have playgrounds and the children, like children in other countries, enjoy their playground sessions. The amount of time devoted to recess differs from school to school, but at many schools there are two breaks lasting about 20 minutes each, during which many schoolchildren go out and play in the schoolyard.

Kids play on jungle gyms and swings or form teams to play soccer and dodgeball. Also popular are skipping rope and such games as tag.

On rainy days and at other times when one can't go outside, kids spend the time chatting with their friends or reading and drawing in the classroom or library.
