Where are all the good movies? Did Hollywood run out of good ideas?

I was just watching trailers on Itunes and noticed that the plots to some of the movies absolutely suck. The most interesting movie on the entire page was The Kings Speech. Then there are movies about kids being kidnapped, super heroes, documentaries about things like a relay race. and even a frickin movie about a swim team. What the hell? What happened to creativity?|||Because its 2011 and people got higher and higher expectations...I mean I think they just fed up with it that they are trying to reach some far reaching goals..I mean they have been having brain freeze..or abnormal diet.


What I really mean is that US owes too much, that movie makers need to make a movie that will 100% successful, because if not then waste of money. That is why I think they are making remakes and trying to improve some of them just to make sure that people will be still interested just like they were on the other original movies.|||They aren't all unoriginal.

Mind you I've only listed comedies, because it would take a book to list every genre. The film-making style has changed and so to must the movies we watch. Just because they aren't carbon-copies, or just because many artists draw from older sources for inspiration, doesn't mean the film is going to be bad. The Jurassic Park series - from a book. The Lion King - rip off of a Japanese cartoon. Avatar - Pocahontas anyone? Many times we copy things without even realizing it. So it's discriminatory to say that "all" new movies are played out and bad .|||I think so. People are always trying to remake good movies because they run out of ideas. Here's an idea: remake BAD movies and make them better! Not very original, but still better. Movies really suck today, that's why I watch mostly old movies, and only the really good new ones.|||TWILIGHT HAPPENED.





Not really. I don't know, it just seems to be all about crappy remakes. They're remaking Ferris Beuller too. That should be awful.





Maybe the screenwriters are stuck in the past or stuck in mainstream land.|||I think they stole each others ideas to make it look good but to me thats totally cheating and that they should be thinking more of their own creative ideas. Maybe that's a reason why more movies are sucking down...............
