Why can't the Americans pass the baton in the Relay Races?

Do they have a slight problem with sharing? :P|||they dont grab the thing coz its not a twinkie or sausage|||Haha I think too much pressure. They were favorites in the heat and the same in Athens. They were the overwhelming favorite and they messed up. I am not sure but I think one of the commentators mentioned that they don't practice together alot or enough to get in the swing of things and be able to pass properly. |||The theory proposed by the NBC commentators is that most of the American relay athletes focus so much of their time on their individual events that they don't have the time to train together; therefore they tend to fall short in relays.|||LOL, it is kinda sad. I think I read somewhere that it is the 5th time that it has happened in 12 races. That's ridiculous. Obviously, they need to practice it more.|||If the American athletes passed the baton as well as their politicians passed the buck - they would win every relay gold medal on offer!|||Haha actually your ALMOST right, one of the commenter's said they came to Beijing in it for themselves(which is okay). But they didn't think about Team USA, or The United States of America.|||they run too fast to control theyre passing


they practice more on running fast than passing to each other and havin safe passes|||They haven't executed exchanges efficiently since haven't practiced sufficiently as a relay teams.|||Like someone already said they practice running fast but not baton passing or control.|||accident maybe? it's happened before.|||Sharing is caring!
