What is a 4X200m relay race?

the 4X200 is a relay where everyone runs a 200....if you are running in an indoor meet most likely it will be one lap...this race is a lot of fun and can get really crazy at indoor meets with the handoffs and all the people in the race...good luck!|||A relay race has more than one runner, each going a certain distance then passing or handing off a baton to the next runner.

A 4 x 200 meter relay race, presumably, has four runners each doing 200 meters. Or maybe each doing 50 meters for a total distance of 200.

You know, there's no shame in not knowing. Your coach should be made aware that you didn't know what event s/he's scheduled you for. You probably need to have a little practice in the hand-off before the race.|||the 4x200 is where there are 4 runners who run 200m(half a lap around an outdoor track not sure about indoor) each. im guessing you are a sprinter since you are doing this and the 55 good luck|||Everyone has the right idea. In relay races the name is stated by the distance each runner covers, so in the 4x200 you have 4 members and each one runs 200 meters. Indoors that is usually one lap.

You do not have the 4x100 indoors, so the 4x200 is the shortest relay race.
